Great tutorial. But honestly,no offense, one of the most annoying voices ever.
So, why mention it if you do not want to offend?

great tutorials you guys have been posting put could ya try and get some that are not aimed at beginner’s, maybe something a little more advanced.
Every instructor who covers this basic material does it differently–and well or poorly. As an a somewhat advanced beginner, I found this tutorial to be a very useful review and well-done, creatively done, easy to follow and retain. I look forward to the rest of the series. Thanks!
And I don’t mind Simon’s voice at all.
Well paced and well done. Thank you for the refresher.
As a complete beginner, I found this very useful. I do however wish there was some material I could’ve printed, so that I had some factual references when I was out taking shots.
It might just be me who feels like this – but I’m always a tad insecure on what I do, so it would really help.
Looking forward watching the next tutorial.
I thought this was excellent. I just have one question. When you are talking about the shutter speed and exposure you showed the same image taken at the different levels. What I don’t understand is why you would want the same picture at those different levels? Seems like if it works at one why are you changing it to take the exact same picture with the exact same exposure?
Would love if you could help me understand that better. But overall very well done. Now on to the second video.
Duh.. Cause you than can play with aperture having the same exposure level – and get different focus, sharpness etc.
The nasally voice made it hard for me to sit through the whole video series…
a very well put together presentation. for total beginners it is a must to have an understanding of manual settings, and this is a comprehensive look at manual settings. thankyou for making it available.
i LOVE it!
Very helpful guide
Thank you!
I’m guessing these are flash videos? They don’t show up on my iPad. Any other video formats of this series?
Adam I’m only guessing but if it’s anything to do with Flash I understand that Apple restricts iPad playing the videos, someone who knows more can maybe help!!
Well presented, excellent series of tutorials, make a subject that could and was from books a bit of an effort, into an easily understandable, logical tutorial. Thank you Simon
For those who have to attack a Midlands accent………….it’s your choice. the books are still in print LOL!!!
Nice tutorials.. As a nubie i will continue to learning this lesson and other further lessons from you..
Thank you so much..
Great video! thanks a lot!
