The editing one I love is Photoshop Elements 7.0 by Scott Kelby!

I love the book Composition by David Prakel, apart of the BASICS Photography series from AVA Publishing’s Academia.
If you’re a student of photography or an avid photographer then you’ll find the book to be an invaluable learning tool.
The whole series of five books is superb.
They’re easy to read, the techniques are well explained and backed by glorious photographs from some outstanding photographers to illustrate the concepts.
Couldn’t recommend them highly enough
Light Science and Magic…really technical but gives you a much better understanding of EXACTLY how light works.
