Just because you didn’t get to go to that awesome photography conference doesn’t mean that you can’t learn something from the pros! Occasionally, we’ll be featuring a recommended photography lecture or interview on Phototuts+.
Fors was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1956, and attended the San Alejandro Academy. Trained as a painter, Fors became a pioneer of the Cuban contemporary art renaissance as a participant in the groundbreaking exhibition Volume 1, held in 1981. Fors uses photographic images to explore the themes of memory and nature.
Finding a substantial collection of Fors’ work online is difficult. But you can see a small collection of his photos at www.artmajeur.com.
